May 2008

Our new 2008 catalogue of items for deaf and hard-of-hearing people is now available and you can order one by contacting us by any of the normal methods. It comes in a handy A5 size which makes it easy to carry about, keeps postage costs down and uses minimum natural resources. It will also soon be download-able from the website in pdf format, so that those with a sight-impairment can view it in different font sizes.

Back in harness again, after the Easter break with a full order book, and a lot of new products coming on line. Our new full-colour catalogue has just been received from the printers and we hope to be sending them out early next month. If you would like to be sure of getting one as soon as possible, please e-mail us, and you will be put to the top of the list for the first ones to be sent out.

We have just had an announcement of a revolutionary new aid....the Nitro......which allows very large hearing losses to be fitted in a Completely-in-the-Canal aid. Come and talk to us about it.

We welcome Christine Chapman to Northern Acoustics. She will be replacing Gaye who retires at the end of this year, and who has been with us, since April 1991! She has seen us through our many moves, and is certainly well-known by customers and suppliers alike.We wish her well in her retirement, which will give her more time to keep husband Gordon, busy!

We have introduced a new product range of miniature portable loop systems. They are for use on a table or desk, with a built-in microphone, amplifier, and loop. A rechargeable battery allows flexible use in an office or home environment or places where there is no easily-accessible mains. We had a very successful display of some of the N.A.Care products at the Regent Centre, Kirkintilloch recently. Many people took the chance to talk with the staff, about the mobility range of rollators and wheelchairs which we stock.
